Mrs. Boyce has been teaching for 29 years and has worked in the South Putnam district for 28 years. She grew up on a small farm in northern Putnam County, and graduated from North Putnam High School in 1987. She dreamed of being a teacher from the first day she arrived in kindergarten! She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from DePauw University (1991), and a Master's degree from Indiana State University (2000). Mrs. Boyce was a 2002 Finalist for the Indiana Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching. She has additional experience with High Ability services, Camp Invention, Title 1 Reading, after school tutoring, and Academic Teams. Mrs. Boyce loves children's literature, and has also worked part-time at the Putnam Co. Library in the Children's Dept.

Mr. Boyce is a conductor on the CSX railway, via the St. Louis and Toledo routes. She has a son, Ryan, who is a sophomore at South Putnam High School, and three step-children in college and beyond. Mrs. Boyce attends Fillmore Christian Church. She and her family enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, gardening, grilling, paddle-boating, hiking, and fishing. She has four pets...a dog named Titan, a German Shepard named Heisen, a cute oxford rabbit named Dipper, and a very fat, lazy cat named Ringo! Mrs. Boyce loves cooking, and enjoys traveling the back roads on sunny days, eating at small town restaurants, while visiting state parks, festivals, historical sites, and unique places. Some of her favorite places are Door County, Wisconsin, U.P. Michigan, Mackinac Island, Beaver Island, and Pictured Rocks Nat. Lakeshore. |
